Nexus 4 versions?

What exactly is the difference between the e960 and the d821 versions? Are the ROMS compatible for both? I have a chance to get an e960 for and want to know what the differences are before I buy.

Need some help with kernel versions

Hey guys, i was about to flash Project Lucky S7 by Ciro when i noticed that the kernel version on my phone and the rom do not match. The kernel version on my phone is 3.4.x where are the rom's kernel version says 3.0.x. Is it still safe to flash this?? Thanks

Restore point not working - incompatible software versions - downgrade?

I was to turn in my phone (Sony Xperia Z1 compact) for a warranty issue (battery acting up). The guy in the store told me there would be a factory reset at the service point so I went home, used the built in Sony approved "Backup & Restore" app (with current experience - DO NOT USE IT!!!). To be safe I created 3 different restore points (just in case) and stored to my SD card. I backed up everything, contact list, messages, photos etc using the sony app. To be extra safe I did install the google + app to backup my contact list (wich of course also failed, it only backup up 6 of my ~500 contacts, don´t ask me why).

Got the phone back today. Battery replaced (nice!). Software upgraded - Didn´t ask for that but lets see. Went home. Popped in my SD card with my restore points, selected to restore and got the message: "Cannot restore - Selected backup records cannot be used du to incompatible software versions. Please select a more recent backup file". After searching the internet and spending an hour chatting with the sony support it seems I´m pretty much screwed. That (useless) app appears to ONLY be working if used on the exact same phone model with the exact same OS version.

The guy at Sony tells me that the only way to handle this is to unlock the boot loader wich will void my warranty. I asked if it was possible to just pull the contacts and messages from the backup file but no, according to him that app stores the backup up stuff in a non-typical way wich is impossible to reach unless you have the correct version on the phone.

It seems like there are a lot of smartheads in this forum, does anyone have an idea on how to either pull the vital data from the backup or any other idea? The boot loader unlock option is not very tempting since it will void my warranty, not give me automatic updates in the future and on top of that there is a risk I´ll screw up my phone for good.

As a last comment, it would have been nice if the App informed you about the fact that it would only work on the same OS-version, that would for sure have made me think twice and made at least one backup using another system but no. I found threads about this as early as december 2013, still users will continue to loose all their data. A simple popup with that information would save a lot of people a lot of headache.

Nexus 4, stuck on animation for all android versions 5.X and 4.4 - 4.3 but not 4.2.2

I was out and my Nexus 4 get discharged, when I get home I tried to plug and power on, the first time stuck on the animation circles (android 5.1.1), I tried one more time and stuck again in the animation, again I let it to see if could needs more time (~45 min later) I see that is stuck in the same part, circles animation, so here what I did:

1. Restart the device fastboot, recovery mode, wipe cache partition (tested, didn't work)
2. Restart the device fastboot, recovery mode, wipe with factory reset (event loosing data, tested like 6 times, didn't work).

I tried the process above like 6 - 10 times, and nothing, so I decide to format the device and install a new factory image from google "occam" for Nexus 4.

I tried first with 5.1.1 (LMY48T) downloading the .tgz, unpacking, go to the unpacked folder, connect the devices in fastboot mode and run:

sh flash-all.sh (I'm mac)

Everything get done and the new system get installed into the device, the device restart once that the installation finish and start loading in the animation, get stuck again.

So I tried the same with all the differents versions of android available for nexus 4, this is the list I tried using the same process above:

5.1.1 (LMY48M)
5.1.1 (LMY48I)
5.1.1 (LMY47V)
5.1.0 (LMY47O)
5.0.1 (LRX22C)
5.0 (LRX21T)
4.4.4 (KTU84P)

None of that list works, so I tried one more time and install 4.2.2 (JDQ39), that one works O.O..... and the phone pass the animation and start normally, later, phone download the next update available (4.3 (JWR66Y)) so I think that thing could work, so I click to install the update downloaded, it broke and the phone stuck again in the loading animation event for the update installed by the phone.

I event tried to install Android 6.0 following this:

LG G4 Stylus - A question about different versions

Well hello, good people. First of all, i want to thank all of you for the help you gave me when i rooted, flashed, etc my previous smarphones (HTC ONE X, LG G2). NowI have a LG G4 Stylus (H635AR Titan - I'm from Argentina).
I want to flash a custon rom but first i want to download the original firmware just in case. The problem is, i couldn't find the correct KDZ anywhere. I remember having the same problem with my LG G2; i searched for firmware for the D806 (the one i had), but could only find the D802 version. Later i learned this D802 was the international version and i that i could use that (and i did), without problem.
Does this kind of "problem" also applies for th eLG G4 Stylus? I found in some websites the KDZ for "H630/H635", but only a link for the H630.

And...sorry for bad English.

Hi, who can tell me or show me where to find a description of the versions of the S7? Here in Sweden, when looking online I see:
- G930
- SM G930
- G930 F (Flat?)
- SM G930 Flat

Are these all the same version or are there differences?

ROM versions

Which is a ROM Release History and Nightly in Mokee for Surnia there are already some well

Wear versions after 1.4 for 360

Greetings,

It looks as if the 360 is never going to receive the Wear 1.5 update, let alone the upcoming Wear 2.0 update. It sucks that Google/Motorola/Lenovo drop support for a device that is only 2 years old, but there you go.

So, is anyone currently working on porting the Wear 2.0 dev preview to 360? I am willing to chip in cash, spare watches, whatever to aid this development. At present I don't really have the time to work on it myself but may be able to contribute time later in the year.

Perhaps if we all work together, we can keep this still perfectly good watch up-to-date and future-proofed for a good while!
