google play music pausing when screen turns off, and other issues

I'm using stock marshmellow from lg. google play music pauses the song when the screen turns off. usually between 30 seconds and 2 minutes after the screen turns off. I'm not exactly sure if it pauses the song or the audio just cuts off. I've added google play music to ignore battery optimizations and that didn't help.

another issue I'm having is after I reboot the phone, play music doesn't detect my songs. the sd card is mounted but there is no music in play music. sometimes remounting the sd card doesn't work and I have to reboot. also, after rebooting, my playlist is empty.

Google Chrome Customization

So i'm pretty sure someone has already made a thread on this however I have been unable to find it. What my question is if it is possible to change the color of chrome. For example when you visit dbrand.com on your phone chrome gets themed black. when you go to the xda website it gets themed orangeish. what i wanna know is if it is possible to change the color permanently. I want to make it black for good. So if anyone has an idea on how to do this or if there is an app for it let me know. Thanks again in advance!

Two damaged Google Nexus 4 to give away (to developers)

I have two used and damaged Google Nexus 4 to give away – and I'd like to give them to a developer. In both cases the phone fell down, in one case the display broke (I already threw it away, the back case also), the other display has areas which won't work any more even if it's not broken.

i cannot creat google account in device it says "cant establish reliable connection with server....."
i read many threads did factory reset ..re flashed rom..edited host file still no fix can anyone please help me its urgent thank you in advance

Google Keyboard Number Row

Google Keyboard provides a convenient number row but only when entering a password. Is there a way to enable this row all the time and not just when entering a password (and also without having to switch to English PC mode because it's very extreme)?

Problem with Google services connection

Hi,
my phone is:

• Redmi 3 Pro


• Android 5.1.1 LMY47V


• Miui Global stable 7.3.2.0.0 (LHPCNDD)

After two weeks of perfect usage, a problem with Google services connection appeared:
can't sync, can't enter gmail, Play Market, can't add new Google account, etc.
I've tried:

• deleting Play Market's cache - no results


• removing current Google account - no success, "doesn't permitted by administrator"


• add new Google account - no success, since there's no connection to Google services.


• reinstall Google services - no success, phone isn't rooted


• back to factory defaults - worked for another two weeks, but then the problem reappeared.

Two weird things:

1. once in a while, in a couple of days, connection reestablishes for a minute and a sync is done


2. after a restart of the phone, connection to Google is good, but disappears after 2-3 minutes.

Is there any things I can try to do before flashing a new ROM?

"Ok Google" from any screen

Does "Ok google" from any screen work at all for you guys. I was curious cause I just bought Moto G4 plus and what did I find in Google Voice settings section... Moto G4 Plus has the option to use "Ok Google" from any screen, where as Moto X^2 has only 1 option which is "from Google app".

I am really annoyed cause of this. [emoji17]

Cannot hide Google Search bar

Has anyone noticed recently that the Google Search bar is back if you've tried hiding it? Evidently one of the Google updates broke the fix that Xgels made to hide it. I've tried everything and cannot get it off my screens. Help! Any ideas? I've considered using another custom launcher but prefer not to. There used to be a 'Google Search' shown under Apps so that it could be turned off ,but that's gone, too. Apparently Google wants their annoying search bar at the very top of every frigging page. I want it gone, anyone with ideas?

I'm looking for a way to replace my stock dialer on 13b with Google own dialer and contacts app I've tried apkmirror for downloading them but they fail to install yes I made sure to try the one specifically for lollipop is their any way to do this?

Weather App that shows notifications and launches google now weather?

Hey so I've been a supporter of Amber Weather for a loooong time now. However as of late I've been on a minimizing spree, reducing space taken up by apps, processing, battery drain, etc. So i was wondering. Is there an app that gives you a persistent weather notification widget similarly to amber weather BUT launches Google Now's weather section similarly to how the icon would do it. Or is there no such thing?

I found one app called Weather Notification that i thought would let me choose what would happen when i clicked on the notification but soon found out that it only launched the Weather Notification app for configuration and the notification itself wasn't persistent as it could be swiped away and cleared.

So is there something out there like what i'm describing or am i doomed to always have amber weather for the notification and just launching google now's weather from it's shortcut?

Changing ROMs - Backing Up Google Music Files?

If I am switching ROMs, is there any way to backup and then restore my Google Play Music files?

I have nearly 40GB of playlists etc and would really prefer not to have to redownload them each time. Is there a way to backup a specific folder and then restore it after flashing the new ROM?

I understand they are DRM protected. I don't want to add them to my computer or anything, I just want to avoid the headahce of trying to DL 40gb of data on a very slow connection.

[Q] Google account crashes settings

So when I try to view my linked google accounts my settings crash. It wasn't an issue till someone linked a new account to my phone and now its complaining about log in. It just sits on a blank screen till it says settings has stopped. Other accounts can be motified, just not a google account.

Can I use Google Voice without data?

I have two phones, both on ringplus. I run hangouts on both and use my google voice (GV) number to send text to my family and friends. This generally works so it doesn’t matter which phone I’m on, everything goes through my GV #.

Sometimes I find myself in areas that doesn’t have 3G service or sometimes I turn off my cellular data to extend my battery life. Unfortunately this means that any sms I send can’t use GV which requires data. In these events, I have to preface my texts with who I am (because they don’t recognize my ringplus number) and I wind up with a ton of separate conversations. It’s a mess.

If possible, I’d like a way to use my GV # without using data. Maybe somehow set up my phones so that even though they have their own ringplus #, texts would appear to come from my GV #.

Or maybe have some type of man in the middle setup, so my texts would arrive and then be sent out using my GV # and vice versa.
