Since I rooted my phone I can't play some of my games. I've tried the root cloak app with no luck any suggestions?

Sound bug when playing games?

I've been playing Fallout Shelter and Pokémon Go a lot lately and I noticed that if I have the sound on and I receive a notification, the in-game sound mutes. I'm not able to turn the sound back on without completely exiting and closing the app in the Recents screen. Does anyone else have this problem? It doesn't matter if it's a text, email, etc. Sound dies.

Problem playing videos from NAS

Hi. I have a problem playing videos from my home network storage (I am on android m custom rom / samsung note 3). Previously when I was on Lollipop I could play videos directly by mx player using Ds file apk/ from synology NAS. Right now when I choose some video file it displays it by Opera web browser. Does somebody know how to change it?

Call ringtone playing for SMS and won't stop!

Hello friends! I really hope someone can help me with this issue. My mother has my old Samsung Note 3. For the last couple of weeks anytime she gets a text message the message notification tone plays but so does her incoming call ringtone. On top of that, the call ringtone won't stop playing. We can put the phone on silent but the ringtone won't actually stop until she restarts the phone.
A little background: I had the phone maybe a year before the note 4 came out and I immediately upgraded so she's had the phone I guess maybe two years. My phone was on Verizon. My mom has T-Mobile prepaid service. We've never had any problems until this. Well because she has prepaid she uses a Wi-Fi texting app called TextPlus or something like that. Again never any problems until a couple weeks ago. I asked her if she updated anything, I've checked all of her settings in the phone and the app. I even set the call ringtone to silent and sent a text and it still did it. It's not so much the ringtone as it is that it won't stop. We've even left it sitting for over an hour and it was still ringing.
What can I do to try to fix this? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

Need help with playing video on gps location

I have a situation that I need to make an app who plays video on defined GPS location. For now I have found app who plays audio, but I need video. Can anybody help me with some code or make an app for me? I would be happy for any info, also if someone knows some already made app in Play store. Thank you

One thing I miss on my Nexus Player is the ability to see what music is playing when it goes into daydream. Been looking for an app to do this but can't find anything. Is there any way of doing this?

My GPS is screwed after playing around.

I recently rooted and flashed a recovery on my M8.
I was experimenting with the Fake GPS Free app, and mock locations. Worked great.

But when I turned it off (developer settings, mock location-->None), Actual GPS doesn't work right.
Turned it off, removed mock location setting, deleted app, re-installed app, made sure it was turned off, deleted again.

'High Accuracy' sorta works. It gives an approx position. But using something like google maps navigation gives the message 'Searching for GPS...' and never finds it.
I tried a couple of apps 'GPS Status' and 'GPS Reset Com' which reset A-GPS, but it hasn't worked.

'Device Only' fails completely.

Tried clearing cache.
I even flashed a new ROM (Android Revolution HD (6.0)) but no luck.
I do have a factory reset option - but I'd rather avoid it if possible.


Anyone have any ideas of what else I can try?

Ringtone Playing Randomly

I've had this phone for a few months now and I've noticed one weird thing about mine. The default LG "Life's Good" ringtone will just up and play at random times. Some times twice within one second of the other one starting. No one is calling me, there's no notifications up in the status bar, all my ringtones and notification tones are different from the defaults. I can't figure this out. Anyone else experience this?

Problem with audio breaking when playing something in background and lock, any help?

I have an issue with my Mate8, I really don't know if this is in all phones or just in mine....

It's when a song or a video is playing, and when the power button is pressed to lock the phone, the audio breaks for like half a second, but if you press the button again to unlock, it do it again, and everytime you press the lock button.... it kinda annoys me a lot.
The rare is that this only happens when the audio is coming from the speakers; when i have anything plugged in (headphones or whatever) it dissapear, and with bluetooth headphones dissapears too.
It happens with all apps, spotify, native app, soundcloud, vlc, poweramp...etc

Voice guidance muted when music playing

Hi folks,
Have Android auto on pioneer next 8000. F70 dab European model. Works great but recently when playing music from play music or Spotify voice guidance from maps isn't working. Instead of voice music mutes but no instruction is read out. With music stopped voice guidance works perfect. I could swear I changed some setting recently which said mute music during voice guidance but can't find any more.. Phone is htc 10

Sound playing through mute & vibrate

Hello,

Majority of the time I have my phone either on mute or vibrate for incoming notification and recently when I play videos on Facebook or Snapchat the volume goes to maximum just for the duration of the video, however, the setting is set to zero.

I use:
- SuperMan Rom V1.8.1
- Model number: SM-G935F
- Andriod Version: 6.0.1
- SuperKernel

Lag when playing games

Hi everyone, does anybody encounter lag when playing game? Games like Shop Heroes and Clash Royale.
Feels that the experience is not as smooth as compared to iPhone or S7.

How can I get a string title, artist for what my Chromecast is playing?

I like to work with LED signs and other fun display technologies and as much as I love my chromecast audio, sadly it has no way of displaying what it is currently playing. Now I know that this information must be somewhat publicly available because the Chromecast app for android can show me what content is playing from Spotify, even if the session is initiated by another client as you can see here:

(Well I can't post images because I'm a new user, use your imagination to see that I can start playing something from Spotify on another device and I'm still able to get cover art, title and artist name here in this native android chromecast app)

Anyway, I'm having trouble devising a way to fetch this information from the Chromecast, I'd really love to send it to some digital signage so I can keep tabs on what's playing, even if that's just say - a raspberry pi with an old VFD attached. So far I was able to use the node chromecast-cli to grab some rudimentary information from the device when it's playing stuff from Spotify. Here's what I get:

so um, most of this status information is painfully redundant, displayName and StatusText are both just 'Spotify' and right now I can't see any useful information about what's playing. So I'm left to assume that the namespaces object is encoded as JSON and potentially contains what I'm looking for, but I'm not sure as to how to actually get it and extract it and put it to good use - or I could be totally wrong and that contains nothing useful. Go figure, but either way I suppose someone here might have the experience needed here to shake this information out of the thing. This might only be pertinent to Spotify, but that's what I use 90% of the time so it's good either way, there might be a more generic string that can be fetched for whatever is playing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

bad battery only while playing

hi,

I already had a thread some months ago, I was thinking qi loading damaged the battery but ordered a new battery and it changed nothing.
later I noticed that the battery runs normal while not playing. I can use the phone for 2-3 days. but while playing after 30-40min the battery ist down to 20%. (mostly hearthstone / rayman)
it's a second hand phone and the old owner had a custom rom running. right now I'm on stock. I would like to know if you could messed up something what can't be fixed by just installing everything clean and stock?

I'm not sure but the display seems also completly like new, but the backcover is messed, like he changed the display, could there be errors while changing display which cause this problem?
