Proximity Sensor Bug/Glitch - Maybe Hardware or Kernel issue - Any Solution?

The Tampered, Unclocked, S-Off, Cid-11111111, HBoot 2.22, Rooted HTC One Mini that I have doesn't ring when Proximity Sensor reads "NEAR".

I'm aware of Sense 6 options like "Ring louder when in pocket" but none of them worked on making the phone ring when a call is received.

That happened when the phone was completely stock, so recently I went through all the process of S-Offing it to install a new Rom. I choose the latest Insert Coin 5.0.8, but the problem persists. so now I'm almost certain it's an hardware issue...

The phone has several years old and returning it for repair/replaced isn't really an option.

Since I'm giving this phone to my mother, I really need it to ring and vibrate when someone calls her or else she'll never pickup any calls with the phone in her purse.

I've tried installing Xposed Framework to have a try at the sensor disabling app, but the whole rom crashed badly and I needed to reinstall everything.

Other usefull info:
Kernel: 3.4.10-kairi@M4 zeroblade1984@c3-nanotech #1 SMP FREEMPT

Is there a way to override proximity sensor when a call is received and/or making the phone ring regardless of proximity sensor state?

Looking foward for an expert tip. Thanks.

[APP] maybe useful mathematic app for academic purposes

Hello everyone and welcome to my project :)

It all started a few years ago, when I thought why not to create an app to show primes. After that, from time to time, I was creating a new app to detect some groups of numbers such as Ruth-Aaron or Smith ones. A couple of weeks ago, I came up with an idea to group all of these small apps into one bigger and this is exactly it :) So let's move on to specifics:

FEATURES
  • Figurate numbers (built on any regular polygonal base and in any number of dimensions) - check if a particular number is figurate or display figurate numbers to a particular value

  • Prime numbers - check or display (displaying may be executed using Sieve of Eratosthenes)

  • Ruth-Aaron numbers - check or display

  • Smith numbers - check or display

In future I'm gonna add some new features :)

If You come across any bug in my app, please report it. I hope some of You will find this app useful :)

Looking for some Help with rooting, and maybe some General Advice.

Hello all and thank you for stopping by to assist me. I am trying to root my Verizon LG G3. I am not sure what all information you need so I am just going to post as much information as possible about my device below.

Model Number : VS985 4G
Hardware Version : Rev. 1.0
Android Version : 6.0
Kernel Version : 3.4.0-perf-gf128999
Build Number : MRA58K
Software Version : VS98546A

And that is all I can think of. I tried to OneClickRoot or whatever it is but it says my device is not supported. I tried to follow some Youtube Videos, but the all lead to "Do my survey, my links are legit, I promise" stuff so... I got no where.

Can anyone help lead me in the direction to getting my device rooted?

Also I see a lot about TWRP? Anyone willing to elaborate on what that is or if its something I want?

maybe useful mathematic app for academic purposes

Hello everybody and welcome to my project - Advanced Maths :)

It all started a few years ago, when I wrote a simple app to show prime numbers. Then, from time to time, I was finding some interesting groups of numbers and creating apps to detect them. Not even for Android, just simply Java. Yup, and a few weeks ago I thought why not to group all these apps into one bigger. And this is it! So let's move to specifics:

FEATURES

  • Figurate numbers - check if a particular number is a figurate one or show figurate number to a particular value. Both of these features for any number of dimensions and angles of a base regular polygon

  • Prime numbers - check or show

  • Ruth-Aaron numbers - same

  • Smith numbers - same

  • Sieve of Eratosthenes - show primes to a particular value

I'm going to add some features in future :)

I hope some of You find this app useful, as I would have done in school. Please report me any bug You find in my app and tell me what You think about it :)

New computer Maybe driver help??!?!

I got a new Razer Blade 14 laptop. For some reason I cannot get the phone to enter download mode properly. It just says disabled and "Connect USB Data Cable".

I've installed the drivers and ADB software. I Have no missing devices in device manager. When booted into the OS and in MTP mode I can send adb commands and "adb devices" sees the phone. Its only when I boot into download mode that the phone says its disabled and to connect a data cable. So theres something up with the Fastboot/Download mode drivers is my guess. I just cant put a finger on the problem.

In device manager it shows as "Android Bootloader Interface" as the device. I'm using the stock nexus 6p cable. My usb drivers are up to date per intel. Computer has windows 10.

Please help!!!
