Moto Mods, what would you like to see?

I will start off by saying i would like to see a case that protects the phone and acts as an extension for the mod links, in order to still put mods on (on top of the case) and not lose functionality. It woupd have to be thin of course.

Also a cheap battery extension mod, maybe zerolemon or something.

But a rotating camera lense mod would be super legit. What would you like to see?

Best tweaks, mods, rom and settings for XT1032

Hi all

so with the revival of my XT1032 i'm looking to return to using my beloved device.
I'm asking for you what do you recommend for a mixture of performance and battery life? Currently on stock lollipop

This could be:

• Roms


• tweaks (Xposed, kernels etc)


• settings ( i would ideally like to keep sync on)


• apps

It would be handy to have an amalgamation of what the forums idea's are

Any able to get dual speaker mod? List of working mods I found

Saw a dual thread speaker thread, but I'll build was missing. Anyone figure out the adjustments needed? Have gotten exposed, lp working, audio mode by Devine beats 7.0 with the dd+ add on to work. Have to have se Linux changer to enable permissive. Anyone who hasn't gotten to work, noticed in flashfire when you run zip if you unchecked mount read/write in last option it won't stick. But with it enabled to mount system read/write sticks and no problems. Black player music aPk on same thread works also. Just noto eq engine. Marshmallow SD fix in exposed will fix write access to SD card.

OP3 Button Mods

OP3 Button Mods currently adds the missing "Open/close menu" to button actions. I am planning on adding an option to replace the single-press behavior of either Recents or Back button with Menu button as well, though that won't be in the first release. There are two options to install this mod: Xposed module and modded Settings.apk.

Current mods:

• Add "Open/close menu button action"

TODO:

• Change Recents/Back button behavior to Menu button


• Suggestions??

Installation:

Xposed module

1. Download Xposed module from here


2. Install module, activate it & reboot device


3. Done

Modded apk

1. Backup current Settings.apk from system/priv-app/Settings


2. Download modded Settings.apk from attachments


3. Replace original apk with the modded apk (system/priv-app/Settings)


4. Change permissions to rw-r-r & reboot device


5. Done

Xposed conflict with camera mods in MM

After lots of tries i found there is a problem between Xposed and All other camera mods for our Z3 (i have no info about other phones like Z2). So we cant use Xposed + Pexocam or Cyberian or... in Marshmallow (there is no problem with LP!) and it gives u something like this message: "Camera is in use by another application, please close other apps..."
(Note i tested with both .575 and .570)
Anyone has a workaround or has both Xposed and camera mod without problem??:confused:

Audio Mods?

Well I posted this in the Q&A section but no one replied :(. Hopefully, i get some replies here!

Has anyone tried the audio mods in the general android section? Specifically ARISE sound systems? (or any of the other ones?) I am kinda scared in installing one and it not working and then I would have to debug it. I kinda don't have the time for that. Does anyone successfully gotten them to work? I am currently on Sultan's latest CM rom

camera mods?

I wonder if anyone could mod a 1080p@60fps into the camera app and also increase the bitrates a little bit.

Huawei MediaPad X2 - frequency/band/antenna mods?

As many of you are well aware... regardless of its 4G capability, the 4G frequencies/bands of the Huawei MediaPad (Honor) X2 are not the same as U.S. carriers... so the 4G is pretty much useless here.

I've heard of antenna mods, frequency/band mods, and frequency/band unlocks on some other phones (particularly the HTC One M9), and would like to know if there are any similar solutions for the MediaPad X2.

I understand the HTC One M9 has this capability due to the total spectrum hardware, for which the various carrier specific models simply have their respective frequencies selected and others deactivated. I'm not sure if the MediaPad X2 may have the same loopholes/capabilities, but seriously need a resolution.

My ultimate goal would be to have full carrier spectrum for either U.S. Cellular or Verizon's network (prefer Verizon).

I know this sounds like a lot of work, but I have been running a Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 (version R960 for U.S. Cellular). I love my large screen and single device solution for calls and browsing... but I need a replacement. The X2 seems to be the only phone with a larger screen, but my job (driver) requires full carrier spectrum capability to maintain communication.

I'm hoping someone with greater capabilities than my own can help me solve the freq/band issue, or point me in the direction of a 6.3" or larger phone with full Verizon network spectrum coverage and modern (better than my Mega 6.3) hardware.

I know this is a tall order, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I have no issue with paying through the nose for a mod/hack phone... so if you know a modder/hacker to construct a device with Verizon compatible Samsung hardware and the MediaPad X2 screen, I'm open to price quotes. I don't care if the frame is made of wood, weighs 20lbs, and barely fits in a tablet format... I just need a tablet with call capability, full spectrum coverage on Verizon's network, and a screen as big (or bigger) than my Mega 6.3 with 1080p or better resolution.

Mods for Android N Starting with Version 4

I have a few mods on here but with Android N being so different, the only way to even come close to keeping up with any mods was for a separate post. These are done only with a SystemUI.apk or framework-res.apk replacements. Xml's can't be replaced separately (at least by me) meaning it is all custom. I am going to post some combinations but will also try and take individual requests as well.
