Root Galaxy s5 sm-g900i lollipop using an ubuntu based system

Hi,

I have a samsung galaxy s5 sm-g900i, android 5.0 (baseband version = g900idvu1boj2) that i would like to root. So far all the guides are for a windows system which i dont have. Does anyone know the easiest way to do this using my linux (ubuntu based) pc?

Also, what would be the best rom to use for this model of phone?
