How to backup contacts with broken screen + disabled USB debugging?

Hello everybody,

my wife has just broken the screen (and appearantly the digitizer) of her S3.

Of course the USB debugging has never been enabled ever since I bought this phone for her.

So my question is this: how can I backup the contacts without a working screen and disabled USB debugging? Is there a way? Can I enable USB debugging via ADB? The ROM in question is fully stock.

I need PIE security disabled. How can I do this?

I need to disable PIE security on my Moto E LTE to be able to run some of my apps like Reaper, Network Spoofer, and possibly some IDEs. I've tried thet flashable fixes on XDA and none has worked. I am running on CM13 with root and TWRP.

[Q] Any S6 Flat Kernel With "dm-verity" Disabled?

I would like to flash & keep TWRP, but the stock kernel causes a bootloop/unbootable state when swiping to allow modifications. Is there any kernel (EPF1 updated supported) for the S6 Flat with dm-verity disabled? My phone is, T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 running 6.0.1, EPF1 Update.

Has Quick Charge been disabled in newest firmware \ hardware issue?

My G5 H850 died after 3 months. I just got it back and they replaced the mainboard and battery under warranty. Now it wont quick charge with my original LG charger and cable OR my Anker Quick Charge 3 charger. It never says "Quick Charging", it was fine before. I have voltage \ current monitors connected to all my chargers, I think it used to get up to 7v @ 1.5A on my Anker QC3, now it's 5v @ 1A or less! I removed the voltage \ current monitors to see if they were affecting the charge rate but it still never Quick Charges.
Have they disabled it because of hardware issues?

mock location gets disabled automatically

I have zenfone 6 lollipop 5.0 rooted and xposed installed. Today i tried hacking pokemon go. But when i tick on allow mock location and get back it automatically gets off or tick gets removed immediately. I tried rebooting not exiting setting but didn't work. Plz help.

Screen mode is disabled

I play CoC and the color is much more saturated than it appears on my iPad. I want to try with Basic mode, but the screen mode is disabled. Please advise how to adjust it. Thanks.

Enabled PIN on boot + disabled HTC keyboard = locked out

Yeah, that was dumb.

So, I disabled HTC keyboard a while ago.. been using Google keyboard just fine. Everything was fine, that is, until the reboot after enabling PIN on boot.

It starts to boot, stops and asks for PIN, but no on-screen keyboard shows.

Here's more info: I'm S-off, TWRP recovery is installed (and usable, an on-screen keyboard is included in TWRP, so I can decrypt okay). Reflashed kernel, no luck. (well, thats good news)

The HTC keyboard apk is probably still on the device, just moved to another folder.

Elemental X 0.06 kernel.

1.19.605.22 (Verizon)

Almost a full charge.

No access to a PC for a week or so. (moving, its packed)

Using my previous device, Moto Maxx. SIM fits either phone, luckily.

USB Debugging option in Developer Options keeps getting disabled

Hi,
Every time I restart my phone after enabling the USB debugging option under Developer options on my Moto E, the USB DEbugging option gets turned off. How can I keep it enabled.

AT&T PMA Wireless charging (Qi now disabled??)

I've had an AT&T LG G4 (H810) since introduction last year.
I've got a number of Qi charging "pucks" and back covers modified with Qi stickers,
and all have been working well - up until now.

A few weeks ago my phone developed the dreaded boot-loop issue - 3 weeks outside of the 1-year warranty.
I chose to have the phone replaced using the AT&T insurance I've been paying for (w/ a deductible).
I received the NEW replacement last week and it has a June 2016 build date (SN:606....)

The replacement phone no longer will charge with ANY of my battery covers and/or charging pucks.
I bought a Duracell Powermat charger to see if that would work (with the Qi stickes/covers) - but NO!!

Assuming this new phone is NOT defective - it would seem that the design of AT&T variant of the G4 has been modified to reject the Qi charging.

The only "official" PMA cover available seems to be from AT&T:
A PURPLE Quickcircle case. For (ouch)

I've been unable to find any PMA stickers (or rear covers) on Amazon, Ebay, Aliexpress.... anywhere !

Does anyone have any experience with Qi charging on a RECENTLY BUILT AT&T G4 ???

OR... anyone know of a source for PMA stickers or covers for the G4???

Disabled Settings device does not boot.

i disabled my settings and all the packages of settings and i accidentally switched off my device! Now the device isnt booting...its stuck on samsung...what do i do? i dont want to wipe my data!

Permissions reset and sync disabled after every reboot

Hi all, I'm running a One m8 (t-mobile) with stock everything, no root, only oddity is that it is S-OFF. Every time I reboot the phone (or it reboots itself - rare), some (not all) of the Marshmallow permissions for apps are reset, and I'm asked again for numerous apps for access to camera, contacts, etc.. Additionally, Sync ends up being disabled for a large number of settings, including most (but not all) Google sync options. Super weird!

I tried zapping Google Play Services (revert to system version, clear data, then upgrade), which sometimes fixes weird things like this, but no luck.

Anyone have any ideas on what would be causing this and how to prevent it?

3g data showing in status bar with data disabled

I have my WiFi on and my data is turned off, but for some reason 3g is still displayed alongvwith LTE. What's with that?

Locked into Recovery - unlocking disabled and won't boot

Hi everyone,

I was on Cyanogenmod and had disabled bootloader unlocking from development settings. After trying to update, I'm now stuck in recovery. While rebooting, the oneplus logo appears but later it just reboots to recovery. In fastboot, I can't flash anything because it says the bootloader is locked (I obviously can't fix that from settings because the phone won't boot). I'm able to get into TWRP so is there a way to enable bootloader unlocking using it?

Data roaming even when data is disabled

I was recently out of the country so I disabled cellular data and data roaming on my 5X phone. When my T-Mobile bill came, I had data connection charges several times each day. I called T-Mobile and they said they were all application updates. How can my phone connect to mobile data when I turned it off? I've seen posts about the same issue but never saw a solution. If anyone has figured out how to fix this please let me know. Otherwise I'L just get rid of this phone,

Download Mode "Disabled" Nexus 6P

After unlocking bootloader, I am not able to flash anything ...TWRP, Boot.img, SU. Nothing, the download mode seems to block every effort.
Have tried all the free "OneClick" stuff both APK and computer. Just want to root my Nexus. Sorry if this is a duplication. I have searched and had not luck
finding a solution.

Horrible audio over headphone jack. disabled audio "enhacements"

Hello!
I have a rather annoying issue with the headphone jack on my p9000, it is heavily distorted.
When i'm playing music through the headphone jack in my car, the sound is just awfull on this phone!
loud crackling noises and heavy distortion on all volumes, even though the audio "enhacements" that comes out of the box is disabled. I've tried with multiple other phones and cables and i only experience this problem with the elephone p9000.

Is it just me having this problem? if not, any ideas?
