Music player for android that supports smart playlists

I've been an android devotee since I got my HTC Desire, but the one thing that annoys me about android is that yes, there are tons of music player apps out there that play music, Player Pro being my current favourite... there doesn't seem to be any of them out there that support smart playlists that can make use of standard playlists.

I have a playlist on my ipod that uses a 2 standard playlists as the music source and simply plays the songs that haven't been played in the past 3 days in random order.

Android music players do support smart playlists, but nothing that can replicate the setup on my iPod...

[Q] So I ripped all my CD's to MP3. Now what? Playlists, Media players

Hey folks,

So I ripped all my CD's to MP3 (VBR rip). Now I want to store them all on my SD card for playback from my Android smartphone running Marshmallow.

I need help with two things.

1) Media player. I have Rocket Player and PowerAmp. The pro version of each. Is one better suited than the other for external MP3 playback and creation of playlists/

2) PLAYLISTS. What is the best way to create playlists? I'm assuming I'd want to do this on my Windows computer since keyboard/mouse/large monitor will make things easier. Do you guys Google up top 500 songs for particular genre's and then just add those to your playlists?
I like music. But I'm not real up on song names or even band names.

All suggestions welcomed!
I'm old school and new to MP3 for the most part.
