Airplane mode will not turn off

Hi all, I've been battling this problem for days now. Airplanr mode is stuck 'Turning off...' and wont connect to my mobile carrier. Things I've tried:

Restarting phone with and without SIM inserted
Factory reset from setting
Factory reset from recovery mode
Flashed to the same build twice using the flash from SD card method.

I have no idea what to do next. I doubt it's a hardware problem as the phone detects the sim card when I put it in and asks if it's O2 pay and go or pay monthly, so it can even read it, it's just the phone wont come out of airplane mode.

I am on holiday without a PC but feel free to post ideas that requires one. I would rather not root or s-off the device just yet, and would rather stay on stock ROM as it's still in warranty. Problem is, it's in the UK and the warranty is held in Taiwan, which means sending it internationally to get it fixed. It's also a problem as there is a language barrier between me and their support for phone calls and their live chat button appears to always be greyed out.

Need help! Private mode won't work

After rooting my phone, private mode won't work, any ideas or fix:confused:

Stuck on TWRP, cant ADB or Download mode

So I've been messing around with this phone and I've gotten it stuck in TWRP before, but that version had a download mode option and I was able to fix it using odin + the default firmware. This version doesnt seem to have it. My phone is unrecognized by my PC (previously it was), I can't seem to use universal drivers, and ADB reports no devices connected. I have an SD card so I was wondering if there is any way to fix it using that? TrapKernel is also installed. I don't have access to an OTG cable but I'm assuming its my only option? Thank you in advance.

tried this said it was not found. (tried multiple times)

Code:

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/misc

Phone: Galaxy core prime sm-g360t1
TWRP: 3.0.2-0

My Moto 360 is stuck in demo mode.

So I don't even know when this started but it's stuck in demo mode. Yes, I know you can factory reset by holding the button and then click unpair & factory reset but that simply does not work at ALL. It will just reboot and stay in demo mode. I have no idea what to do.

S5 Screen black (but worked in download mode)

Hi,
so my S5(SM-900F) shows a black screen, but is otherwise functional. I don't know if it's a software or hardware issue, neither really makes sense to me.
Here's whats happened:
  1. I wanted to flash cyanogenmod, phone seemed functional

  2. Tried to flash twrp (3.0.1) with heimdall, got a bunch of errors

  3. Tried a bunch of stuff, got it to flash twrp using heimdall-git

  4. Phone got stuck in a boot loop

  5. At this point I was annoyed and decided to reset it, which I did with kies

Here's where the screen issue started. After booting the screen was black. Phone showed S5 logo upon startup, download mode worked fine.
Touchscreen worked (managed to activate Talkback. In Hungarian), so the hardware seemed fine.
  1. Googled and tried the million tips to fix a black screen, nothing worked

  2. Screen randomly worked until reboot/lock

  3. Fully charged the battery, screen worked until battery was at 70%, then black screen after locking with power button

Here's a kernel log from around that time:
dmesg
Nothing sticks out to me, log shows the backlight being adjusted which might be related.
This is the log I saved however, when I looked at it in the console I saw a few more things (see below)
  1. Hoping it was a weird software issue I tried to flash cyanogenmod again, this time got into recovery (had to hold Vol Up+Home for more than half a minute), but got "kernel not seandroid enforcing" upon boot, then black screen and periodical vibration

  2. Reset again

  3. Wanted to see whether the screen would fail after some time in download mode, worked until battery was empty

  4. Suddenly the screen's black in download mode, too, even though it worked for days

Here's a current bugreport.txt containing

Code:

Those I also saw before the previous dmesg.
The -19 read bytes seems especially dubious, from a quick look at the source it does not seem like an errno, don't know if it's related to the problem anyway.

Current Android version: 6.0.1
Kernel: 3.4.0
Build: MMB29M.G900FXXS1CPG9

So what's going on? Is this some weird hardware issue? Do the ways download mode and android control the screen differ? What difference does the battery make?
Is it software? Both?

I've searched the forum and found e.g this, but nothing that helped me out.

Thank you for your help,

Request APP for default location mode

On touchwiz 6.0.1, I observed if disabling location via the quick toogle, and then enabling again, it will always be enabled in high accuracy mode even if previously battery saving.

Is there a xposed module or app to fix this, if not can a dev consider making one?

Thanks

What's the Best Way to Get Into Recovery Mode?

So, this is a really dumb question, but I suppose better to ask than mess something up.

So I finally rooted my Z5 Compact with this excellent guide, and everything went off without a hitch. The guide had me set my bootloader back to "Bootloader unlock allowed" before I was done, which, if I'm understanding things correctly, means that I relocked the bootloader (or at least, it looks locked).

My issue is this. I'd like to install this audio tweak, but the instructions require me to put the device into Recovery Mode (CWM or TWRP or Philz Recovery). First, what's the best way of doing that, and second, is that going to require me re-unlocking my bootloader, or is my bootloader actually already unlocked? If I have to unlock my boot loader again, does that mean I need to restore my DRM keys again?

Thanks for any help anyone can offer!

Need Help With monitor mode

I was wondering what phone to get to use monitor mode. But do you even need a chipset that supports monitor mode if you have a wireless adapter?

If not what phone would you recommend to use with cyanogenmod, odump-ng, ect.

The wireless adapter is TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless.

Installed RemixOS stucks at the flashing display but boot up in debug mode

Hi everyone:

I install RemixOS on hard drive following some directions found on XDA (http://forum.xda-developers.com/remi...d-hdd-t3316527) to installs the system directly to hard drive without dual boot.

What i did was the following: After pressing TAB on Resident mode, i removed everything after "quiet". Then i put INSTALL=1 and then format to ext4 to use all the disk space.

The installer finalizes without errors, but when i restart and choose normal init at GRUB, the system stucks on flashing screen, then never enters to graphic env.

The things changes when i boot in debug mode. The system boot up completely but to console. I know how to use Linux, but this distro its very different to an standard one, so i need some directions to diagnose and solve the problem.

In debug mode, when i grep dmesg for error or warning nothing is found. All the devices are detected and aparently installed.

The only thing that got my attention when i installed Remix was the following messages:
- intel_powerclamp: Intel powerclamp does not run on family 6 model 15
- intel_rapl: driver does not support CPU family 6 model 15

But these msgs i suppose that are normal because is an old CPU that not support all the features that the driver does, right?

Anyway, these are the specs of the intallation:

- RemixOS version: B2016071501.
- CPU: Intel Dual Core E2160 1.68Ghz
- MB: Foxconn 45CMX
- GPU: Intel integrated on MB. I don't know the exact model
- HDD: 60Gb SATA

Any ideas to solve this problem?
Many thanks in advance.

Restore Download mode from Fastboot

Hi,
I have a d415 that i booted into fastboot mode with and wanted to unlock bootloader with. I then found out that it was already unlocked. Now i would like to restore download incase i screw anything up. I have the laf.img. Where do i go from there? None of the commands i type in fastboot mode work, possibly because i didn't correctly install the fastboot and adb drivers. If that is the problem, can someone give me clear instructions on how to download them, thanks. Instead, i used the basic adb and fastboot files from a different thread from android sdk. Adb doesn't even work anymore for me now. Please help
Thanks a ton in advance!

Cannot get into Recovery mode in AT&T H810

Hello guys,

I have AT&T H81020n MM 6.0 and I cannot get into recovery mode by pressing Vol Down + Power button. It just boots normally. Tried dozens of time. Any solutions? :crying:

Plus, I found a blog online which stated that G4 on 6.0 can be rooted, not sure if its legit. Anyone who got sufficient knowledge might wanna have a look and approve it?
