Screen showing random lines, then black, can screen replacement help?

Phone screen status:
On screen there are vertical lines in random colors, and if I press on the screen semi-hard it turns black( more force results in white screen). When I depress it return to partial visibility. By that I mean left most and right most part of screen is at most times black. Touch screen is working for the most part(can't pull down notifications, else seems to be working).
My question is will the sceen replacement solve the problem or is the damage more severe?
I cant provide pictures, don't have other phone :) If opportunity arises, I will post them.

"Recent screen" stops showing my recent apps

I dont know when it occurs, but once it does, I have to reboot my phone in order for my recent apps to reappear on my recent screen. Anyone know what may be causing this?

Notifications not showing and home button doesn't work

Hey, I know what is wrong and I know what I did to break it, I just don't know how to fix it. I can't use my home button or see my notifications after installing gapps. I know it's because I told it to remove setup wizard (because i thought it was causing a conflict which was causing a force close). now I guess the setup wizard isn't properly notifying the OS that it has been completed locking me out of my homebutton and notifications.

I've already tried invoking the setup wizard again but that didn't fix it. I tried wiping cache and dalvik and reinstalling cm13 back over the current system partition (thinking maybe that would reinstall the origional setupwizard that I had removed) that didn't work.

is there any way or file i could edit to tell the os that it's no longer being set up?

no network and not showing sim imei no. in my panasonic t 41

I flashed my Panasonic t41 by sp flashtoll and working write. But after some time I again use sp flashtol and formated my Panasonic t41 by this toll and then flash stock ROM .after power on it shows no network .only shows sim operator's name and shows no imei no.I flash several times but problem became same.anybody tell me what I do

SD Card showing Unsupported and Unmounting automatically on Android, fine in laptop

My Sandisk Ultra 32GB microsd card is not getting mounted on my Moto X Play from yesterday on. It was working perfectly before that.

Problem in Detail: Yesterday when i tried to play some music only I realized that its not getting mounted. I tried removing the card and reinserting it. But it's not showing up any notification. When I went to 'Storage and USB' settings suddenly after reboot, its showing 'Unsupported' for a minute and is getting unmounted automatically.

Possible Cause: One of my friend connected my phone with USB cable to his laptop day before yesterday for transferring data. I dunno exactly whether its infected or he didn't eject it properly.

What all I Tried: Initially, I tried connecting it to my laptop using Card Reader. Fortunately, everything was fine inside the system. The file system FAT32, all the data it had, and no memory was unallocated. Afterwards I did a quick format and a complete format as well, with file system FAT32. Both didn't help anyway. Then I installed mini tool partition wizard. But haven't done anything with that yet.

Kindly help me with this ASAP.

le max 2 not showing update.

for those who face problem like my x820 that didn't show upgrade, update on their phone, just download the latest firmware eui5.8 ,then enter the file manager and rename to update.zip.
as u click the update.zip there is an option for update. enjoy.... its kindda weird that the original firmware not include update on Chinese version though.. i recommend update eui5.8 india. u wont face a Chinese apps language problem later...

Nexus 6p pictures not showing on device via USB cable

Hi guys.

I have just got a new nexus 6p and intend on passing my current one on to my wife.

I have inserted the official USB cable in and Hooke up to my pc like I have done many times before to pull off my camera folder which is around 14gb

However it is showing as around 1gb once downloaded and a real random selecteion of pictures.

I used airdriod and could see the full 14gb folder and all its contents. However due to the size it bombs out every time when I try the zip file download.

So first off anyone know why the device is showing 10% of my pics and video ?

And any other ways I can get these files off ?

It's all backed up on Google photos but I like having it offline on my device.

startup lock is not showing.

ive a secured lock pattern enabled for my device and when u select that it has a option that asks you for the pattern before the phone is completely switched on! so i have enabled that and it would use to ask me for the pattern. but i donno how off lately its just not asking me for the pattern and it directly switches on the phone!!! wat can i do to get the pattern back before the phone is switched on????

Ok google settings not showing anymore

When i go in google settings ->Search and Now ->Voice -> Ok google detection , the only option available is from the google app, but the "retrain voice model" and "from any screen" option is not there(its not greyed out, its just not there), even though i had the option there before. A few days back i had cleared the playstore data and used a vpn to install pokemon go , idk if that messed it up or something but yea .

Owner Information not showing on lock screen

Hi. I cannot figure this out! I'm on an S7 Edge SM-G935F running Superman Rom. After updating, the owner information will not show on my lock screen. Instead, there is a little alarm clock in its place and I cannot figure out what app is doing this. I assume that when I find and disable this app, the alarm clock icon will disappear and the owner info will return, but it's driving me crazy. I have already disabled all lockscreen notifications and it did not help. Funny thing is, this happened once before and I did fix it, but forgot how. I'll paste a pic. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. (and please don't ask if I rebooted!) Thanks.

How to disable showing number of steps?

I'm very annoyed of the notification told me how many steps did i took everytime the watch in idle times.
How to disable it?
I'm still in 1.4 official rom and didnt root it.

3g data showing in status bar with data disabled

I have my WiFi on and my data is turned off, but for some reason 3g is still displayed alongvwith LTE. What's with that?

SD card showing as corrupted on rooted MM (works fine on non-root phone)

As mentioned in the title, the SD card is showing as "corrupted" on my phone (MM, root). If I pop it in my wife's Note 4 (official firmware, non-root), it works just fine. So, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the card and I'm assuming that root is the culprit. Has anyone noticed a similar issue? If so, have you found a solution? Going the non-root route is not an option for me. Thanks in advance.

XT1033 showing unusual behavior. Keeps rebooting and keeps hanging

This happened yesterday. I was on CM 13. Everything worked fine. But now, the phone kept rebooting whenever I ran an application. What's worse, it started hanging for 5 minutes and even the power button didn't respond, after which it heated and then rebooted.

I flashed the stock ROM 5.1 Asia retail and the phone said,"Starting apps 1/76" and when it reached 76/76, the phone rebooted. When I tried opening recovery, the phone showed a black screen and kept showing the bootlogo, going black, bootlogo, going black, and again.

I've tried installing other recoveries but the same thing happens.
Basically, the phone is dead.

The only thing that works is bootloader.

Uninstalled a system/buil-in app but still showing up [rooted]

Hello,
I rooted my phone with Kingroot and it was successful. I rooted for uninstalling unnecessary built-in google apps. So, I used the uninstall feature of Kingroot and uninstalled the Cloud Print. It was showed that the app was successfully uninstalled but com.android.apps.cloudprints is still there in the app manager with different icon (black background with SD written on it). In the app manager, actual file size showing up but in kingroot and system app remover app file size showing zero. I've attached screenshots for better understanding the problem. If you need more info than feel free to ask but help me out !!!

I want to completely remove these unwanted apps.

SM-G920F showing wrong model number after failed update!

Hi,
I recently got a SM-G920F off the internet and noticed it was running android v.5. There was no update option available in the usual place so I tried to update to Marshmallow manually with Odin and it failed during the update process.

I've now noticed that even in Odin Mode, it's showing as a SM-G920P. As a result of this, only US (SM-G920P) firmware installs (everything else just fails) which isn't any use as I'm in the UK! I've tried to reset using smartswitch but it doesn't even recognise the serial number. The back of the phone states it is a SM-G920F and I was previously able to download apps to confirm that the phone isn't a fake.

Has anyone else had this problem? I think I just need to configure the phone to be a SM-G920F again and it will take the firmware but I can't find a way. Have tried editing the prop.build file in /system but it's still saying it's a G920P in Odin mode. Any ideas/help would be appreciated.
