marshmallow update vs CyanogenMod 13.0 for gaming

hello :):):):):) i have a honor 5x kiw-l24 usa
i recently updated to marshmallow and im a bit disappointed .
i thought it would make it noticeably faster. i changed the launcher to google now , turned off all animation , deleted and force stopped a bunch of apps.,
cleared cache , factory wiped marshmallow after update . dont know what else to do.

right now im playing two games , republique and dawnbringer.
dawnbringer takes about one minute 47seconds to load { takes about 40 seconds on my yoga 2 10.1 tablet }
and republique takes 46 seconds to load. { takes about the same time on my yoga 2 10.1 tablet }

if i change the rom to CyanogenMod 13.0 will these games load faster , mainly dawnbringer ???
is there any way to get dawnbringer to load faster ??
i installed CyanogenMod on a nook tablet before and it was a disaster, took quite a few months before the bugs were fixed { volume caused shutdown , etc.. }
im not hatin' on the phone im just curious if the CyanogenMod 13.0 will be a big enough noticeable difference , and if all the bugs are taken care of ???? :confused:
is it worth it to sacrifice fingerprint scanner ??
also ive noticed this rom "Stock rooted version of the latest KIW-L24 B331 - Android 6.0.1 EMUI 4.0 Update"
does this rom offer the same performance of CyanogenMod 13.0 ???

Unlocked and Rooted TF700 Gaming Lag

I have been working non stop to fix my tf700's out-of-the-box sluggishness which, as most of you know, was basically unusable. I have tried every ROM out there and recently found what I thought to be perfection in KatshMallow (KatKiss for 6.0 by developer TimDuru), that is until I started running my high-graphics/animations games... i.e. Order and Chaos 2. Even 8 Ball Pool is laggy. It didn't use to be with other ROMS, but those ROMS had so many other issues for me that I had to keep trying others. OC2 is so slow that my character can barely move, no matter what game display settings I choose. Now, Pokemon GO only works until I click 'okay' to confirm that I will pay attention to my surroundings (before you are able to play the game). When I do that, the app just closes out. Every time :( As it exits to the home screen, I see that my RAM usage is suddenly through the roof, leading me to believe that I have simply run out of the RAM required to play that game. I've tried everything. Uninstalling apps, freezing apps, optimizing kernel, startup, etc. settings, restarts, cold boots, Dalvik wipes, factory resets... I've gone nuts here thinking my tablet is as optimized as it can even be. But I am no expert, and only know what forums have taught me through continuous Google-age. So what I'd really like to know is, what am I missing? What have I not optimized or changed that could be causing this? I'm sorry if this posting is misplaced, I've never actually posted in these forums before. I'm just desperate.

Thank you SO much in advance for any help you guys can send my way!

[GAMES] Xperia Z5 Gaming Thread

Just opened this thread to discuss games for the Xperia Z5, including recommendations and any issues you have encountered.

For the most part, games run very smoothly on the Z5, but once the phone gets warm (around 42) it will start to throttle with some more intensive games and the frame rate drops to around 20-30fps.

Another problem I have had is relatively common with Adreno devices. Games like Real Racing 3 and Need For Speed: No Limits fail to render in 1080p and also lag. This was the case for my HTC Butterfly s (Snapdragon 600 w/ Adreno 320) and users of other devices such as Nexus 7 2013 have also complained to the developer about it but they kept saying they couldn't fix it (despite there being a mod before that involved locking the rotation of the device). Asphalt 8 looks fine but either has poor antialiasing or is only rendered at 720p.

Some games I play:
Horizon Chase - Retro-style racing game like Top Gear (has a really nice soundtrack by Barry Leitch). Sounds really nice with the front-facing speakers. Runs at 60ps on Z5 but goes down to ~25-30fps in later levels or when the phone gets warm
Hungry Shark Evolution - Also suffers from a frame drop when the phone is warm, after about 5-10 minutes of gameplay.
Smash Hit - This one really puts the stereo speakers to use as you can hear where the glass is smashing
PBA Bowling Challenge - Fairly simple but addicting bowling game. Runs very smoothly and doesn't use a lot of battery life
Alto's Adventure - A one-touch endless runner snowboarding game. Very minimalistic with immersive audio.

I'm trying to look in particular for games that have good graphics and audio, such that they can take advantage of the stereo speakers.

What games do you play?
