Headphone Output Quality

I'm coming from a Oneplus One a much better phone for music than my poor old Galaxy S2. How does the Oneplus 3 do compared to its predecessor's? Is it loud, undistorted, have a good range in its built-in DAC for the 3.5mm Jack?

Thanks-

JJ

Android 5.1 head unit >>> USB Audio (DAC) output

Hi, I installed a MTCD Android head unit with Android 5.1.1 in my car two weeks ago. (I could'nt start this thread in the MTCD section because I'm new here)

My car audio setup goes as follow: Android Head Unit >>> USB Cable >>> PCM2704 USB to SPDIF adapter >>> SPDIF coax cable >>> MiniDSP 6x8 >>> 3 Amps >>> Speakers + sub.

So far I've been able to get SPDIF sound output with Neutron (Direct USB mode), Onkyo HF Player, USB Audio Player Pro, HibyMusic Player.
Sound is amazing btw.
If I understand correctly, all these apps are working with the USB DAC because they use their own app's USB Driver.

Important to know: All song in 44khz are playing fine, songs in 48khz makes every app freeze. I got a way around this by setting Neutron to resample every song in 44khz, so all songs are working now.

Now, if I play a song in Google Play Music, Spotify, Kodi, etc no sound comes out ... same thing for my HU video app, phone calls etc.

Is there a way around this ? What modifications can be made so every sound outputs to the USB Audio ? IE. kernel update, system files modifications etc ??

Thanks for any input.

USB DAC as main audio output

Hello,
I am making navigation system out of my android tablet, and i faced a problem that not all times i connect USB DAC, android sends audio data to USB, but rather to internal speakers (some times it does that, sometimes it does not)

Is where a simple way how to set to use USB as main audio source, and block headphones or any other audio source ?

Same apply to FM radio, i can plug headphones so it would act as antenna, but i still need audio to be rooted to USB DAC

Small support via PayPal for some one who give me the right answer :)

Is HDMI output possible

Can anyone tell me if the next Nexus 5x can support HDMI output one way or another. Still contemplating this phone or OP2 or G4Plus. That's another debate. I sometimes visit my mother who doesn't have much up to date media. So when we watch movies I bring my laptop and we watch that on the TV. Back in 2009-2011 I used to plug my iPhone 3gs and 4 straight into the TV and watch Netflix or a saved movie. Life was easy, lol. Apple became to pricey so I've been in android the last 4 years and miss some of the ease. So with development can it be done or some type of way to watch movies from my phone to a modern TV. Chromecast just hasn't been my cup of tea. App needs another app to do certain things. At one time I was using 4-5 apps supporting Chromecast just for rare occasions. Thanks in advance

Audio output on android device

Hello, basically my loudspeaker is broken so i bought new one, but it takes about 3-4 week to deliver. For that time i managed to change audio output for media to earspeaker but i would like to change also alerts(notification and ringtones) to play from earspeaker. I am using app called SoundAbout and there you can set alerts only for headsets and suff like that. I wonder if there is another way to completly swap speakers or something so i can hear when sbd is calling me.
I am using Xiaomi redmi note 4g, android 5.1.1. Thanks for every suggestion :)

Increase In-call volume output bt headset

Does anyone know how to increase the output volume to the Bluetooth headset during a phone call? I've already tried using Viper and it only seems to increase the volume for playing music. I do a lot of driving for a living and I need to have the volume louder while I'm on the phone. Any assistance would be appreciated.

[Headphone Jack] Issue with audio output / Sound

Im having the exact same issues described here, so basically i thought it was my headphones that were broken even though they worked in my pc, i thought maybe they were just broke and didnt want to work with my RN3P (they were amazon fire headphones, decent ones) and so i ordered a pair of Piston 3s and they arrived today, plug them in and sound outputs into the headphones which is good i guess, but there is still some weird ass audio issue, i really dont know how to describe it, its like the channels are being messed up, id appreciate any help towards fixing this issue, ive tried rebooting obviously, and im running stock miui 7.3.7.0 right now, no root or anything else, ive also tried reflashing via edl mode, re-setup everything and it stays the same ;-; also tried messing with the eq settings as one person had some success with that in the reddit post but that yielded no results unfortunately :/

P760 Bricked, Black screen/No output, ONLY FASTBOOT

Hi everyone,

My dad's friend has a problem with his phone and dad asked me if I can help him. Right now I only know that he had "LG Security Error". However when I got the phone it didn't react on anything, so I'm unable to turn it on or charge a battery (I have also a second battery, neither of them works). When I plugged it to a PC it showed "OMAP4430". I've never had experience with LG before (only Xperia phones), but after searching I found this (2n option), which didn't work with my device, but this (1st option) worked flawlessly. I managed to get into FASTBOOT mode (phone is listed with "fastboot devices", ADB not) - OMAP FASTBOOT DEVICE. I noticed that it disconnects itself after 1-2 minutes and the proccess needs to be repeated. The phone still isn't showing anything on screen. After few hours of searching I didn't find anything, except that after doing procedure with Vol+ button entered, Windows recognized my phone (I could get only twice and the screen was still blank):

Code:

LGE Mobile Composite USB Device
LGE Mobile USB Serial Port (COM9)
LGE Mobile USB Modem

LGMobile Support Tool was doing something, but in the end it didn't detect anything, also I checked out LG Flash Tool 2014, phone information showed that it was in emergency mode. Screenshots

At this point I'm guessing that the phone is hard bricked as it couldn't go to S/W mode, download mode or show anything on screen etc. I haven't found any tut about unbricking in fastboot. Is there anything I can to at this stage?

Thank you in advance!

A.R.I.S.E. Sound Systems seeking getprop output (Easy, I promise!)

Hey Axon 7 owners!

I am a member of the A.R.I.S.E. Sound Systems™ team, producing top-shelf mobile audio sound systems for Android devices. Information can be found at our thread here.

In less than two months of existence we've achieved incredible success, but that success is only possible because of many, many users aiding us in the various research areas we conduct to further improve our sound systems.

One of those areas of research is examining the getprop output of various devices, especially those that we utilize into our sound systems using various libraries and other content. This is where you come in:

Our current sound system in testing phase, Leviticus, is based around your very own Axon 7 Dolby Atmos, ported by our team member, @ahrion. To maximize this system's success and functionality, one simple contribution by one of you can have a significant impact - providing the output of "getprop" from your Axon 7. Before I provide the instructions on how to do just that, let me explain what we are requesting.

/system/build.prop contains many properties for our devices, that can have values or adjustable values that can enhance all sorts of mods we all like to enjoy here at XDA. As is the case with some things we encounter in life, what we see is only the "tip of the iceberg." Rooted or unrooted, if you type the following command in terminal:

Code:

getprop

And then tap Enter on your phone's keyboard, your terminal app will create a list of every single property for your device, the vast majority of which are not included in your /system/build.prop. These "hidden" lines can be a gold mine for us that build sound systems using significant content from particular devices.

Rest assured, no sensitive personal data is ever stored in your complete list of build properties and you are easily able to examine the entire contents of the getprop output before copying the entire text, pasting it into a new .txt file, and attaching that new .txt file to a reply for us to utilize with Leviticus.

It will not take much of your time at all but it will certainly help us maximize your phone's content that is utilized into our latest sound system that we are just now building.

Thanks for reading our request and do not hesitate to ask me anything about this request or the usage of a fulfilled request. Below, is a link to a free terminal emulator available from the Google Play Store if you do not already have a terminal app and would like to help us maximize your phone's content in our Leviticus sound system. :good:
