LG has a security bulletin but what use has it if LG doenst update the phone software of all models?

I have LG l90 d405n, last update was the begin of this year? V20c.
I have also an Samsung tablet S2, update to marsmallow was just last week.
We buy products with an expectation of usability and devellopment of known issues.
None of the big brands seems to be interested in selling the next phone.
My next phone wont be an LG and next tablet wont be a Samsung, because update policy sucks...
