Android N Beta Program on Rooted Nexus 6?

I want to try android N preview on my Nexus 6. I have a rooted device and have flashed a ROM on it. I currently have WiFi tethering due to root

If I sign up for the beta program, will my rooted device become unroofed? I don't want to lose the tethering.
