Killswitch and Original (recall) tablet question

I have two of the original tablets. One was from an RMA I did a while back, but it turned out Nvidia send the same faulty tablet, so I had to ask for a different one being said. Basically, I got two tablets out of one RMA and sold the RMA tablet. This was a long time ago during the hype of the recall. I never gave a thought to the old tablets and they've basically been sitting in a closet.

I've seen threads about this issue, most threads being extremely old. Other people are keeping the tablets, saying the defective batteries were minimal and Nvidia did it to cover their own ass, other people recommend disposing the tablet, and even some people who suggest replacing the battery (questionable batteries off of online sites). Even heard of some guy experimenting with running it off of USB power. None of these I found to be what I was looking for.

What is the correct way to proceed for this? Obviously I don't want to waste two perfectly good tablets. One of the tablet was destined for the kill switch, so I installed bliss rom on top and it has been running smooth so far. I noticed occasional lag when multitasking before when on stock OS, not sure if that is batter related. I was thinking of using one tablet, draining the battery and storing the other.

I could discard the tablets, but that would be extremely wasteful if the recall was an isolated case! After spending some time browsing various threads and the Nvidia forum, I still can't come to a solid conclusion.

What are you guys doing or recommend?
