Am an old school texter, Full words and still type the Emoji's from back in the Nokia Brick days.
Its actually a hard habit to kick, i cannot go without typing a text and manually typing the smiley face.
I personally thought it would of been possible to use the Android Shortcuts for the keyboard linked to an Emoji
But it appears to not be working on the S7 Edge on MM Stock.
Just as an example:
I type:
: ) Would like it to auto use: :) (Without quotes)
Has anyone been successful in mapping a shortcut to a Emoji.
Do you all just browse through them and select them? no one type the old text Smileys?
