Only way to charge it is using OEM Nexus 5X Charger + OEM Nexus 5X Cable, any other mix won't work. Even with Benson Leung approved products.
I have tested:
USB Type C Cable, CHOETECH Hi-speed USB-C to USB-C Cable + OEM Nexus 5X Charger = Won't charge
Included USB Type C Cable + OEM Nexus 5X Charger = Won't charge (WOW!)
Tried to charge using some traditional USB Wall chargers (Nexus 5, LG G3, Samsung S4, Powergen) + Type C Cable, AUKEY 3ft USB 3.0 to USB C ( Benson Leung approved ) = Won't charge...
Traditional USB Wall chargers (Nexus 5, LG G3, Samsung S4, Powergen) + Monoprice MicroUSB cable + TechMatte USB-C to Micro USB Adapter Convert Connector ( Benson Leung approved )= Won't charge..
Traditional USB Wall chargers (Nexus 5, LG G3, Samsung S4, Powergen) + Included USB to USB Type C = Won't charge... (WTF with included cable?))
Also to charge my Nexus 5X, only way of doing it is using OEM Nexus 5X Cable or include cables.. ANY other mix won't charge the phone or will charge it for 5 minutes (and then it would shutdown)...
PD: I forgot to add, it will charge using a PC using the included USB to USB Type C... I suppose I would need around 20h to charge it. Because 500mA limit.
PD2: Tried to contact iVoler using all the email contacts in their webpage and never got an answer (i have it since 3-4 months!), contacted Amazon but sadly after 30 days (Never tested with another charger before that).
TL:DR Will work fine if you only use with the OEM Nexus 5X charger, seems good quality, I can get around 3 charges for my N5X. USB 2.0 won´t charge everything (it doesn-t charge my Jaybirds). Any other way of charging it is a fail. Maybe my unit is damaged?
